From 2014 to 2020, we proudly offered our tour guide services. We had to temporarily close down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but now, we're back and ready to welcome you again!
At Food Experiences Japan, we hope that everyone who visits our country will discover Japan's beautiful food culture and unique experiences.
Our service was born from a frustrating experience our founder had while traveling in Italy. She struggled with the language barrier and couldn't find the delicious local food she was searching for. She wasn't interested in touristy spots on the main streets; she wanted to find a hidden gem in a back alley and have a truly memorable experience. But she quickly learned that this wasn't easy to do on her own.
Even in today's digital age, where you can find almost anything with a quick search, the "live information" that's deeply connected to local life can only be truly discovered with a local guide.
We would be honored to guide you on that same journey of discovery.
Tour
We offer various tours dedicated to experiencing the beautiful Japanese food.
Imagine navigating bustling backstreets with a knowledgeable local guide, stepping into authentic izakayas, and savoring dishes and drinks that capture the true essence of Japan's everyday food culture. Our 3-hour private tour is designed for those who seek to connect deeply with Japanese life through its most beloved local flavors, without the language barrier or the guesswork.
Fee
$300 for up to 4 guests for a 3-hour private tour.
Additional Guest: $70 per person for the 5th and 6th guest.
Group Size: Our private tours accommodate a maximum of 6 guests per group to ensure an intimate and authentic experience at local establishments.
For Groups of 7 or More: DuToure to the seating limitations and unique atmosphere of our selected local eateries, groups of 7 or more will be divided into two or more smaller groups, each with their own dedicated guide. Please contact us for arrangements for larger parties.
